Community Development

The primary mission of the Community Development Department is to enhance and sustain the vitality and livability of the city's neighborhoods and the quality and safety of the city's built environment. The department is responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to long range comprehensive planning, land development code administration and enforcement, development plan review, construction plan review, inspection services, environmental services and programs, neighborhood economic development and revitalization, neighborhood capacity building and neighborhood based service delivery and problem-solving.
