The City of Pensacola has a Council-Manager form of government. Under this form of government, the elected council sets the policies for the operation of the city government. The administrative responsibility of the City rests with the City Manager who is appointed by the council. The council consists of ten members. The City Council directly affects the City of Pensacola through the Key Committee Structure.
